Indonesia Miracles day 1

Report from Indonesia Celebbration, signifying the Holi Spirit movement in this country

Jakarta’s Governor Sutiyoso welcomed Pastor Benny, speaking warmly of the evangelist’s message of love and hope. The Miracle Celebration, the result of a personal invitation from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, took place after months of intensive preparation.
Soon after Indonesia’s majestic national anthem rang through the Ancol Park, Pastor Benny spoke through an interpreter of his desire to tell each of the precious people about God’s love—to let them know that God loves them. He preached a message of healing and salvation, citing many illustrations of powerful miracles.
“Jesus Christ went about healing all and preaching the message of salvation,” he declared. “If Jesus would take the time to heal the leper, the paralytic, the cripple, and even a person with a fever, He will heal you tonight!”

A mighty wave of miracles began moving throughout the massive audience. People of all ages began moving forward to share testimonies of healing, though time limitations only allowed a few:
A parade of empty wheelchairs could be seen above the heads of the crowd as Pastor Benny urged those who had been healed to make their way toward the platform.
Healings of those in wheelchairs included lung cancer and numerous forms of cancer.
A woman who had difficulty walking and could not bend her legs left her wheelchair behind and began walking. As Pastor Benny attempted to find out what had happened, she dropped to her knees and lifted her hands. The interpreter said, “She wants to take time to thank God for healing her!”
Piles of crutches were left behind by people who could suddenly walk.

A little girl who came to the service with a broken leg and twisted foot was healed completely. Amazingly, she took the brace off and began walking unassisted.

A woman who had been pain ridden due to a severe accident was released from all pain. She began walking and running, expressing total joy and freedom!

A young boy, deaf from birth, was healed. His mother beamed with excitement as her son began to repeat Pastor Benny’s words, phrase after phrase, as the audience roared with approval.

Before the incredible first night’s service ended, Pastor Benny spoke openly of the greatest miracle of all, and then he invited all who wanted to give their lives to Jesus Christ to pray with him.
“I looked out over the audience,” Pastor Benny reported afterward, “and as far as I could see, every hand went up. What a wonderful moment, to lead these precious souls in a prayer of salvation!”
Pastor Benny continues to issue a call for prayer among worldwide partners, the entire Benny Hinn Ministries staff, and Mighty Warriors Intercessors Army—to get on their faces before God and pray earnestly.

The Dream on 14-3-06

I had a dream. To me it was a very perplexing dream. I woke up then fell on my knee before His presence, begging for His mercy…

The dream was this:

I was in my home together with my wife and son. Suddenly we were attacked by evil spirit. We fought so hard and the battle continued as we went to the Church for a service.

In the church, the battle was not getting easier but heavier. I could feel how hard it was for me to be under such a heavy pressure. The attack was not of any low level authority. I many times encountered with the territorial spirit and stronghold, but this was greater…

I was so busy helping the people, my wife and son. I could see the people were fighting against the devil as well. But our corporate power could not overcome it.

In the end, he gave up and left us. Not that we could defeat him but he just fled himself. It seemed that we were draw, or faced a stalemate situation. No win no lose…

What I recognized the spirit was when I called her “the Queen of Heaven”. I still remember how I shouted proclaiming “the King of kings is greater than the Queen..!”.

Having finished the battle, I met the leader of mine. He smiled at me and I came reporting what had just happened.

His asked me “What were your clothes?”
I knew what he meant and then telling him the story from the beginning.
When we arrived at the church, I saw people in colorful clothes. Each of us was like in Hawaiian clothing, so colorful and so beautiful. I saw that was good and with the people we enjoy in those clothes. It was very beautiful like rainbow.

He asked me again ”Why did you wear it?”
His question brought me to a clearer mind and I understood what he meant. I was so ashamed of it. I could understand that I did not seek his counsel of the clothes to wear. We would have worn white robes instead of colorful ones should we inquired of him.

As I woke up, my body felt so painful and aching. The experience I felt was so perplexing and the battle seemed so real that my body felt aching. And as I prayed, the Holy Spirit taught me of the meaning.

The white robes were the holiness. Instead of wearing white robes we wore colorful ones. In that sense, the colorful clothes can represent our denomination, our ministry, calling and gifts. At first they looked nice and wonderful. We could be happy with our own ministry and calling, how we different one from another and how unique we are. Sometimes we can call ourselves better in spiritual quality than other. We may be are loved more that other. However, that can lead us to spiritual disjoint among the Body. Although God has designed us with many colorful calling, ministry and gift, those clothing should not be worn as identify. There is one white robe, which is holiness to wear as our outer garment that covers all kinds of ministry and calling. By that mean the uniformity of the church should be the holiness that is above all our individual calling. It is only the holiness of that prevents the evil one from attacking. We cannot rely on our own ministry to defend the attack. The only thing that expels the devil away is the holiness.

Therefore, the church as the Body of Christ have to remember, that despite of the unique character and feature God gave us, Holiness ha to be worn as the white robes in our life. The holiness will unite the diversity o the body, holiness also that will protect us from the sin and evil. And holiness is Jesus and in Jesus himself….

Now, why do we not stop claiming ourselves as the best? Our teaching is the best, the most biblical, the most apostolic that others? Why don’t we stop looking at our clothes and be proud of it?

In these end days, the Satan’s attack is escalating rapidly…in terms of intensity and quality. Satan knows his time is coming very near. He releases all his army to destroy the Church of God.
If we as the Army of God fail to unity in Holiness, so many open doors will be opened for the attack to prevail. Will you seek the counsel of the Lord to strategize?

I pray, that the Church is growing more mature and become the glorious church. We are determined to win! And live in holiness….

My Pathway...

It’s been twice God spoke to me “Your path is the path of the quiet…”

The path that only few people have walked through
The path that’s going away from the road,
A pathway with many of trees and flowers, bush and thorns
A hilly, winding, up and down pathway

Not many people have walked through that path.
It is a path far away from crowd and business.

Only the freshness of the air,
The breeze of the wind,
The scent of the flowers and leaves,
The sound of the flowing water,
The singing of birds,
The mountain, sky and the sun
A solitary pathway

I am not the only one.
Many have gone through this path.
It’s just a pathway, once in a time,
Only once in a time is there a man walk in this path,
And with God,
Only with God,
Talk, and walk with God………….

Respecting the Diversity in the Body

Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind. (Philippians 3:16, NKJV)
Honestly, none of us, even Paul, is perfect and possess all the knowledge and understanding of God. In the body of Christ, either universal or local, some differences to how we live before God occur. They are all OK before God. Thus we cannot say that some possess the best way of life before God than others. For example, in a family with 3 kids, each of them may have unique relationships with their father. And the father is OK with that; he knows each one as his kid uniquely.

Some of us experience certain kind of way of life that makes us different from others. Some also have gone through difficulties, hardships, comfort, or happiness. We are all different in nature and unique before God. We are all possessing uniquely different understanding of God. As long as it aligns with the words of God, support them to narrow the gap of understanding between us.

Some relate to God as sons, some servants, some darling, some friends. By saying that, I mean that some people may relate to God mostly with certain kind of attribute. For example, although I also call God as Father, most of the time I relate to Him as servant to the Master. Some call father most and so on.

In a diverse array of body of Christ, we should maintain the understanding as Paul possessed. If some think that they are mature and knowledgeable, let them be wise and not judge the young Christians. Put it on Gods hands when to reveal the revelation they know as truth. Do not be too pushy. Be wise and give God time to help our brothers mature. Then we will see harmony living as brothers and sisters.

End of Days II

Every believer should be prepared and able to see the sign of the age…
Believe or not, people may also be skeptic, but what Jesus said shall come to pass.
He shall come soon. And those are signs of the age (look at http://hisbondservant.blogspot.com/2005/08/signs-of-end-of-age.html ).

In the near future, there will be much martyrdom…
The Christianity will explode, the knowledge of God will be acknowledged.
Look at the passage below

Rev 6:6 Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage   the oil and the wine!”
Rev 6:7 When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!”
Rev 6:8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse!   Its rider was named Death, and Hades   was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.
Rev 6:9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain   because of the word of God   and the testimony they had maintained.
Rev 6:10 They called out in a loud voice, “How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth   and avenge our blood?”
Rev 6:11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed.   (Revelation 6:6-11)

From the passage we learn

A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!

It means that all prices in the world go up. Everything becomes more expensive. What has been happening like oil price increase that effect all other price is not the end. There are coming causes to price increase.

They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth

That’s over one forth of the world populations. It might be ¼ of 6 billions people, or around 1,5 billions…enormous number of death toll by wars, disaster, and diseases.

They were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed

More believers will be killed to complete the number of martyrs for Christ.

And, there are many to come….those are the beginning. We are at the moment to see all those come to pass….. (Please refer to the revelations and other books in the Bible)

Advice to believers, please see the sign of the end of age.
We know when the springs is coming, or the rain is about to come.
We are the son of the light; we do not sleep like the son of darkness.Therefore, in these days, we should be prepared, do not spoil the oil which is the Holy Spirit in us.

Mt 25:1 “At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like  ten virgins who took their lamps  and went out to meet the bridegroom.
Mt 25:2 Five of them were foolish and five were wise.
Mt 25:3 The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them.
Mt 25:4 The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps…

Let us be wise, take along the oil with us…
Seek the Lord more….Seek the Lord more…Seek the Lord more….

Give thank is better than complaining

Now a wind went out from the LORD and drove quail in from the sea. It brought them  down all around the camp to about three feet above the ground, as far as a day’s walk in any direction (Number 11:31)

3 feet high = 1 meter
A day walking to any direction (radius of a circle)

I am an army and used to march. The normal rate of normal march is 4km/hour. Assume that due to women, children and flocks with them, their rate of walk was 2 km/hour. In one day, it means 2000 meters x 12 hours equals to 24000 meters.

Now, the volume of the area is height x area.
Let’s assume that the distance was equal to any direction thus it was a circle.
So the volume will be height x area of a circle
Or mathematically the formula to calculate that is

P r2 h  = 3.14 x (24000)2 x 1 meter
     = 1,808,640,000 meter cubic

1 meter cubic is a volume of 1 meter wide x 1 meter long x 1 meter high

Let’s assume the Israelite at the time were 2,000,000 people (according to the NIV study bible estimation)

Then the quail for each person was 1,808,640,000 divided by 2,000,000 = 904.32 meter cubic.

Can you imagine how much was it?
If your bed room is 18 meter cubic (that is around wide 3 x long 3 x high 2 meter), then each one of Israelite had to eat as much as 904.32/18= 50.24 times volume of your bedroom!

Can you imagine? Can you finish that???

That’s when God is exceedingly angry…..(Number 11:10)!

Not finish at that. Now that the Israelites were so greedy, none of them gathered less than ten homers, which were 22,000 liters! What a greedy they were!

Let’s make it simple, how much is the capacity of your fuel tank?
50 liters? Thus each one of them gathered 440 times as much as your car fuel tank capacity!

Note that all above calculation is just estimation, if it was wrong please correct my calculation.

the message is do not murmur a lot to God, just simply give thanks to Him of whatever he has given and done in our life. Give thanks is simple….

Wars like Gulf war, Iraq war, Afghanistan

Economic Crisis like oil price soaring

Disasters like Tsunami, Katrina, Rita

Terrorisms like WTC, Bali Bombing, London Bombing, Marriot Hotel Bombing…

Diseases like avian flu, polio

And many others unmentioned here

As the end of days approaching, everything is clearer. Disasters, wars, earthquakes and diseases seem coming together closer in their time.
In near future more are coming. Those were just the beginning of the labor pain. The real pain is coming….more than anything we can image or experience or see…
Like a labor pain that comes unexpectedly, many peaceful and convenient places suddenly will undergo it…Very suddenly, pain comes….

As we see them, we can relate to what Jesus said as the end of days.

But for us, it is the time that we will meet Jesus in the sky.
The time of MARANATHA…Lord Jesus, Come…!

At this moment, I am facing a family issue that is really complicated and difficult. It also affects my extended family.

I can give in to the problem, but I choose to overcome.
God has given me power to overcome every problem. Even my God has conquered the grave. So why should I give my self in to problems?
There will be a way…a solution…a victory over problem!

He has done it many times in my life, and I could see his mighty hand upon me, and with Him I have conquered and overcome the problems. If he could do, can’t he also do it again?

Amen…my God is a wonderful God!

My Boasting...

This is what the LORD says: “Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches, but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the LORD
(Jeremiah 9:23-24)

Is there anything in my life that is worthy to be boasted?
When I see my surrounding…
When I see my friends…
When I see my colleagues…
When I see their prosperity…
When I see their wealth…
When I see their measure of success…
When I see it all…

Benchmarking them, it seems there is nothing to be boasted in me…
But when I look into my heart…
When I look into my life…

I find one thing worthy of boasting…
I KNOW HIM WELL…!
I KNOW HIS HEART…!
I KNOW HIS VOICE…!

We know one another…

I have God…
I know Jesus…
I am assured of my life and salvation…
Peace, Joy, Security in Him…

Then I lift my head and say: “I know and I understand you Lord, that you are Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth….”

And my wife sings…”Lord, you are more than enough for me….”

I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.
Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”
(Genesis 9:13-16)

Rainbow above the Royal Exhibition Building Melbourne I captured this afternoon can be a very sign of God’s covenant with Australia. He loves this nation and is waiting for its people turning to Him in repentance.

I saw a perfect one in Aceh, Indonesia’s hottest spot and now there is peace between the government and the rebels. Symbolically, it can represent God’s heart for Australia. There will be revival and peace in the nation. Peace which is from above…( But, should be a flood precede it like Tsunami for Aceh and Katrina for the US?)

Whatever….For sure, Jesus loves you Australia

Faith of Sponge

“And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak and immediately her bleeding stopped. “Who touched me?” Jesus asked. When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.”
But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me…” (Luke 8:43-46)

Jesus was passive, and the faith in the women had absorbed the power from Jesus that sufficiently healed her disease. Relevantly, we can also have a faith of a sponge which easily absorbs power from Jesus. Faith that draws all resources from heaven.

On fire people will easily absorb all heavenly messages, love spiritual conversation, and enjoy biblical life. Once we are bored or lost desire for the heavenly things, we already lost the sponge nature.

To have this faith, we have to be really zealous. The faith that does not conform to the world or whatever people comment…whatever people say…
If only we may touch Jesus, we will be healed…
If only we may touch Jesus, the problem resolved…

Life

Life is so precious…but so many people ignore it.
It has a divine purpose…yet so many abuse it for a cheap reason.
Many treat life like rubbish.
Many live in immorality, wickedness, corruption, greediness…
Killing, stealing, robbery, raping, dishonesty, drug, narcotics…
Sexual immorality, adultery, homosexuality…

Life should have a divine purpose…
It should glorify the creator…
It should reflect the image of God in us…
Should bless many…
Should encourage others…
Should strengthen the weak…

I pray, that soon or later, people will understand the divine purpose of life,
To glorify God, advance the Kingdom…
Be a blessing….
And value the life.

Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the LORD for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper…(Jeremiah 29:7)

I think I need to address to some comments to my previous posting “Pray for the Leaders”. This is just an insight of a Christian’s simple faith.

I would say that criticizing is acceptable if it is based on love. I mean, we can criticize to correct government of their mistakes because we want to see they perform better in the future. We do not criticize because we hate (due to their carelessness or incompetence) them by throwing out all negative words to the air that express the bitterness in our heart.

We can express our opinion about them positively, peacefully, and by that showing the spirit of love. Most of the time when we demonstrate our thought, we do in a way that in the end our thinking is affected and thus become more negative, or worse, then before. We cannot change the situation. Maybe we can to some extent, but to make everything easier is by encouraging and praying for our government. Well, it seems that those words are unpopular. But I think our intuition will not disagree with all that are good.

Again, my proposal is, how if we pray for them instead of blaming them for their incompetence? Wouldn’t it be better if we ask God to help our leaders to govern wisely?
Pray that God will intervene and change their heart if necessary.
Pray that our leaders know the biblical principles of serving the society so that we may see prosperity and peace in our cities and nation.

Even if they are really sinful…Doesn’t the judgment belong to the Lord?

Sometimes, through the most difficult situation that God permits, we can see what is in our heart more clearly. Christianity does not mean to be ‘going to the church’ or living in Christian country or grown up in a Christian family. Christianity is Christ-likeness. If people can see Jesus in our life, I think that’s what so call as ‘Christian’.

About submission, I think as citizen, we should exercise all biblical principles towards authority. If we think they are against God will, who should really concern about it? Wouldn’t it be God himself? But if we pray for them, we play our part, God takes His part. Do not mix it up. In regards to individual life to authority, we really have to submit. But I also think there is room to get authority’s attention if collective interest has been neglected, of course expressed in love.

May our Lord Jesus Christ helps us in understanding His way…..Amen

Called

We choose not to be a blessing by gossiping, back biting, accusing others, cursing, doing immorality, greedy, discourage others, laughing at others foolishness, and many….

We are called to encourage not discourage, help not trap, give light not be a stumbling block….

Pray for Our Leaders

I read lots of news and I found an interesting topic that is ‘hatred’!
Why, why do so many people just like to demonstrate their feeling and opinion through hatred and negatively?
When the Katrina struck the New Orleans and the Bush was too slow in responding, many…I noticed, so many people blamed, criticized and exposed the weaknesses of the government. Not only that, even negative comments were addressed to the government. Not only in the US, every where, seldom people speak ‘good’. Why?

In my opinion, it is unworthy to negatively criticize or harshly blame our leaders of even when it considered as their ‘mistakes’. Conservatively, I agree with what Paul said
Ro 13:1 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
Ro 13:2 Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves

Again, he told Timothy

1Ti 2:1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—
1Ti 2:2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
1Ti 2:3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior

So please notice the above verses. Those speak of revering the authorities, pray for them that they may govern wisely and justly. We should have prayed for them instead of blaming and cursing.

If we, as believer pray for them and speak positively, even what it seems to be uncontrolled, still the hand of the Mighty God will not to short to regain control.

To conclude, let’s exercise our faith, speaking what is good, nice, and noble and of above…that everyone shall be blessed and see that we are the sons of light.

Are We Converting People to Christianity?

Am I too zealous saying that the salvation is only through Jesus?
I don’t think so. I am normal, very normal.
Some people may disagree with me. They may argue that it is not fair for other belief. They may say” they are not Christian, but they are better than average Christian…”
They do charity more; do this, that, more….it is really unfair to them if salvation is only through Jesus.

However, I am stick to what I said. Indeed, what Jesus says…
“No body can come to the Father unless through me…”
“I am the way and the truth and the life….”

So when people say” Why Christianity always converting people?”
No, we never convert people…We only share the news, which is the gospel of God, we only teach what we know, which is the words of God…and…It is God himself who convert them. It is He who touches their heart through the Holy Spirit.

So…I am sorry to say this, but we really have no ability to convert people.
Jesus said, “My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand.” John 10:28
So, they come to Jesus through our message because they are Jesus’, and they are whom the Father has given to Jesus.

Finally, this is what Paul said “Yet when I preach the gospel, I cannot boast, for I am compelled to preach. Woe to me if I do not preach the gospel!” ( 1 Corinthians 9:16)

Trials, Perseverance and Faith

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:1-3)

From the words, we learn that actually trials bring about goodness to our life. We have to consider it as pure joy! Why? Because testing of our faith develops perseverance. So in other words, if we face trials, hardship and difficulties in our life, it is God’s design to develop endurance, perseverance in our faith.

So here trials are to test our faith, testing develops perseverance. It is like the trials are the raw material in the factory of perseverance. Like a balloon, when we face trial, our faith suddenly is developing, bigger…bigger…and bigger. It is like blowing air into a balloon…

Then, it says that perseverance must finish….It not us actually, but the perseverance that have to finish its works! And it is like the vehicle that we ride…A car that we drive to reach the destination. We drive it, perseverance finish it. Sometimes it seems that the journey is so long…so hard…so tiring…But, why do we stop? Or why do we stop the perseverance from finishing its work? Just let it go….let it finish the works. So that we may be mature and complete. Unless we let the perseverance in our faith to finish its works, we will no reach the maturity and completeness God wants.

It is the destination.

Behind the Katrina....

I am an Indonesian Christian, and I have received abundant blessing and teaching from some of the most anointed servant of God from the United States. I am always blessed by how this nation sends so many missionaries to the world, great awakening come from this country. But I know that the nation is not without sins. Maybe…, maybe God wants to revive this nation. Maybe He wants to see His people see the salvation from the Most High…, Maybe He wants to see more humility from His people in this nation…, Like in the ancient times, when the King and all the Israelites mourned, put on sackcloth and in ashes due to their sins….

Even when the people of the wicked city Niniveh repented, God spared them…

Jonah Goes to Nineveh

Then the word of the LORD came to Jonah a second time:
“Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.”
Jonah obeyed the word of the LORD and went to Nineveh. Now Nineveh was a very important city—a visit required three days.
On the first day, Jonah started into the city. He proclaimed:“Forty more days and Nineveh will be overturned.”
The Ninevites believed God. They declared a fast, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.
When the news reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust. Then he issued a proclamation in Nineveh:

“By the decree of the king and his nobles:

Do not let any man or beast, herd or flock, taste anything; do not let them eat or drink.
But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up their evil ways and their violence.
Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish.”

When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he had compassion and did not bring upon them the destruction he had threatened (Jonah 3:1-10)

Maybe…maybe He just want to see His people come back to Him…a great nation that has been a blessing for many nations…A radical repentance.

My Tsunami...Your Katrina...

Almost one year ago, we were all shaken by Tsunami that struck Aceh and some parts of Asia. Hundred of thousands of victims were claimed. I was so sorry to see the news how the land was devastated and people were laid dead.

Few months before, I was there in Aceh. I saw a perfect rainbow in the sky…the most perfect one I’ve ever seen. Suddenly Holy Spirit prompted me to Noah’s time when He said “I will never destroy again the land with the flood….” So I was so thanking to God for the message. I was a military helicopter pilot at that time, and I was in a mission in Aceh. For information, Aceh was in a very difficult situation for 30 years due to separatism rebellion. And I thought, it would be over soon….But the Tsunami struck…..!

However….God is faithful. Few weeks ago, there was a peaceful MoU between the government and the rebels. The rebels disarmed themselves and the government withdrew the troops. The war is over…the peace is there…although it is still in the birth stage.

My wife told me”Thanks God for the peace there. Although it costs a lot…Tsunami”

I believe that our God is good all the time…and all the time He is good.
His plan is to prosper and not to harm us…to give us hope and future...

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” ( Jeremiah 29:11)

So, when I saw how Katrina struck America….I believe, despite of the fact that it caused disaster, loss, misery, and pain….God is a good God always. People may perceive that He is an ignorant God, “If you are there, why….” Some question His character,” If you love us, why…?” Some are just simply run away from God, some draw near to Him…

However, if we see it through the eyes of God’s love. There must be a plan, to prosper us, and not to harm us….Because He is the loving God. Despite of what people say, He is still the loving God. And He has a perfect plan for all people there. A perfect plan for America.

To my American brother and sisters, I believe that God has a perfect plan for you. For He loves you a lot…

Encouragement and Discouragement

Hmmm…how does it feel being encouraged by people?
Feeling boosted up?
Feeling great and more excited?
Of course, encouragement gives us joy and excitement. In whatever we do, if we are encouraged by our brothers and sisters, we feel like being supported and loved.

Now, how if we are discouraged? Let’s say, by some negative comments from our dear brothers or sisters?
Will our heart melt and sink? Will it make us cry…? Run away and give up?

But let’s see encouragement and discouragement positively.
When we are encouraged, praise God and thank God for that. It means our dear brother is exercising His words as Paul advised: encouraging one another.
Even from one point of view, it may reflect our weaknesses, disability or imperfectness, but the heart of his message is to encourage us in doing what is right and beneficial. Even the sharpest critics can be the most comforting encouragement.
Moreover, if the encouragement comes from the genuine heart, seeing we do something great.

Conversely, discouragement can be a sharp knife that stubs our heart, blocking our step. If we see it positively, one may tell the truth of the fact why he criticizes.
However, since we love our brother and sister, we can tell the truth in an edifying way. We can still encourage even the message is of correction. Or, for better words, we still encourage since we do not know fully what he really means.

For the one who is discouraged, do not feel desperate and hopeless. See it as blowing wind that drives you higher and higher. That enables you to soar as an eagle. Doesn’t eagle need wind?

Communion=Commitment

1Co 11:26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
1Co 11:27 Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord.

The communion, that is eating the bread and drinking wine, as the Lord commands, means to recognize the body of Christ.
1Co 11:29 For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.

Accordingly, every member of the body, which is the member of church,  the family of God, when come into time of communion shall understand this: That they recognize the body of Christ!
Recognizing the body of Christ means that we are really committed to the body.

What is it like loving someone’s face without loving one’s body?
Does it sound right?
No, the truth is that loving Jesus, that is the head, is to love His body, which is the church.

The summary of the meaning of the communion is to love and committed to the body of Christ, the church. Having the communion with wrong attitude, which is without the proper intention to be committed to the body, brings about curse.
1Co 11:29 For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself.
1Co 11:30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep

Therefore bother and sister, let us committed to the local church…love the church as the Christ body, that we may love Christ fully.

The Clarity

I praise God for giving me clarity of how important the body of Christ is, that is the church. Church is the apple of God’s eye; it is the center of the New Testament message. It is His extension of His hands to touch people, of His hands to save people, of His heart to love people.

I had lived in God’s plan long before I came to Melbourne more than a year ago. I came with incomplete understanding of God’s perfect plan until He drew me to a particular church. It is the church in which I learn the importance of fellowship, the importance of brotherhood with all saints. I learn how all ministries should work to build up the body of Christ, to edify the church, to keep her from being tossed back and forth, to help her to grow completely mature in sound and biblical teaching….

Now, I could say that I really love the church like never been before. I come with biblical understanding of what the church means. It is the body of Christ. The center of all ministries....Apostle, prophet, teacher, evangelist, and pastor….all have to work together in harmony for the sake of God’s body. It is improper for a prophet to work out of the body, also the evangelist...teacher…All have to work for the benefit of the church. Universal church? Later…the first is the local church, and then we may be used in a broader context.

Out there, so many wild wolf…ready to devour us. Living under biblical church is the choice.

The Private Victory

I believe that for us to gain public victory is gaining the private victory firstly. If we see people with great anointing, surely we will adore him much. We try to imitate, and we love to relate ourselves with him. But, we do not know that the price to gain public victory is private victory.

Preaching with full anointing and authority, healing ministry, blessed life, successful ministry, are sorts of public victory that we sometimes admire. And we want to be like them….!
However, before the public victory is performed, they have gone through private victory first. Victory over problem, victory over family matter, victory over financial difficulties…..Private life of prayers, bible reading studying, fasting, patience…endure the hardship……those are private victories.

Brother and sisters, therefore I urge you to gain your private victory in you life. Then see how the public victory is accompanying.

Remember what Jesus did….”After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone” (Matthew 14:23)
He prayed…a lot!

Rules of Thumb Identifying True Prophets

As the end days approaching, there are so many prophetic ministries emerging and claimed to be true prophet. However, should we accept them without testing their ministry?

As the words of God says “Test everything. Hold on to the good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21)

Therefore, points below may be useful

Are their teachings and prophecies based on the biblical principle and sound doctrine?

Do they edify the body of Christ? It means that even they prophecy about judgment, it will promote the spirit of God’s love.

Do they respect the church leadership? Church leadership represents God’s divine authority on earth through the church.

It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-13)
It is clear that prophets have to work together with all fivefold ministry.

Do they prophesy out of their bitterness? Rejection? Spiritual wound? Otherwise they will speak out of their bitterness.

Do they have unconfessed sins? Otherwise, prophesy can be out of the evil spirit.

Are they accountable?

Are they humble?

Do they show mercy and prophecy out of love of God and others?

Do they live with genuine motives to advance the kingdom of God?

Notice that they do not prophecy for the sake of money.

These are just simple points on testing whether it is true prophet.

False Prophet Spirit

Today I got email from someone, and I realized that I am facing a real spiritual warfare. Yes…This is the spirit of false prophet. I thank God for clarifying my heart and mind as I can see it clearly.

So how can this spirit operate?

In this case, that I do not tell you what, it comes through bitterness, rejection and inner wound that are not healed under God’s grace. Some people who think that they are anointed and gifted are easily infected by this kind of things, when they are not transparent nor open to the light, that is the leaders of the church. These kinds of people do not want to live under biblical church covering. Thus it gives the spirit of darkness to operate and ground to influence. People then easily justify their doing as “God’s will”.

However, can a man say of following God’s will while he is not respecting the biblical principles? The church as His body? The leaders as Christ’ biblical authority?

People who do not live and commit their live to the church, who ignore the importance of living in the light, living according to the biblical principles, can easily be drifted away from the sound doctrine.

So what can I do then? Nothing….But actually many things….I tell my God, ask Him for help and believe that the Spirit of God is greater that any spirit in the world….He will resolve all things nicely….
